30/09/08 :: Trains
Would you believe it? We've only gone and booked another gig. It's at The End on the 16th December with the really rather good iLiKETRAiNS.
27/08/08 :: Festival
This weekend we're playing the Offset Festival in Hainault Forrest Country Park, just outside of London. The venue looks mint, it's dead cheap and Wire are playing. What more could you ask for? Also, I'm updating the website at the minute so it's a bit lacking in content like downloads and streaming music but it'll be sorted soon.
05/11/07 :: Last
Tomorrow night we're playing what will be our last gig for some time, it would be lovely if you could make it along. It's with 65daysofstatic, Youthmovies, Tired Irie and is on the 6th November at Newcastle University Student's Union. I think the tickets are about a tenner, but it's worth it as you're not likely to see three bands as good live as 65, Youthmovies and Tired Irie on the same bill again, like, ever. We're first on, so get there early. We shall only be playing loud and fast songs, none of this prog nonsense.
16/07/07 :: Updates
Right, it's been a while since I updated this here website so I thought I better sort it out. Moscow was awesome - cheers to everyone involved. You can find some videos of the show here.
Also, we have a gig at the Head of Steam this Wednesday. I should warn you in advance that it's going to be a lo-fi acoustic thing with just me and Alex. It should be interesting.
16/05/07 :: Postponed
Just a quick note to say that our gig at the Apelsin Club in Moscow tomorrow night (17/05/07) has been postponed until 27/05/07 due to us being idiots and messing up visa applications. Suffice to say, it should be awesome. While I have your attention, we're also playing a couple of gigs in Newcastle in the next month or two, 31 May at The Cooperage and 18 July at The Head of Steam
22/03/07 :: Cancelled
I'm afraid to say we've had to pull out of tonight's gig at the Cooperage for personal reasons. Sorry to anyone who was planning to come down to see us, but we're playing at the Head of Steam on the 4th April so it's not too bad.
28/02/07 :: Last
Cheers to everyone who showed up for the gig last Friday. In case anyone was wondering why we played such a short set, the guy who was doing the PA pulled out at the last minute, so we didn't have the facilities to plug in our laptop and couldn't play the set we'd practised. So if a couple of tunes were even less polished than usual, it's because we hadn't played them for about two months. I enjoyed myself nonetheless. Here's a review of the night, and here's a couple of videos. Thankyou muchly to all involved.
The next one's the Cooperage on 22nd March. I'm looking forward to this as it's our first gig in literally years with the mighty Sefelt. Awesome.
02/02/07 :: Interview
Check out this interview with us at Drowned in Sound. Leave a comment at the bottom if you like, it makes us look more popular.
29/01/07 :: Another
There's another gig up on the gigs page. This one's on the 4th of April at the Head of Steam with These Monsters and Strangers in Polaroids. Three gigs in less than two months for the Sea, this is uncharted territory. We're also trying to book a couple of dates at choice locations round the country; more details to follow if all goes to plan.
17/01/07 :: Wrong
I got the information about our gigs wrong. Well, half wrong; the first one was right, but the second wasn't. I've edited the entry below and our gigs page.
10/01/07 :: Happy
Happy new year to one and all. We've got a couple of gigs to mention, first on Friday 23rd of February we're playing at the Dog and Parrot, Newcastle with Our Own Devices, Mushi Mushi and Chippewa Falls. This is a Night of the Living Dead Promotions gig and it should be awesome. Next up is Thursday 22nd of March at the Cooperage, Newcastle with Grammatics.
20/12/06 :: More
And some more reviews: Manchester Music (English), Sound of Violence (French) and Audiodrome (Italian) The only print review I know of yet is in the lovely Narc magazine, but if anyone spots any others, please email them to us as we're stingy bastards who don't like to shell out for magazines...
18/12/06 :: Reviews
We're getting some nice reviews coming in. Check out what people think at Drowned in Sound, Tasty Fanzine and Designer Punk.
31/10/06 :: Release
Our new album is now available to buy from independent record shops in Newcastle (RPM, Steel Wheels, Windows, Reflex, Spin, Alt.Vinyl) or via Paypal from this here website.
29/09/06 :: Welcome
Welcome to the new PBaS website. Take a look around. We've got lots of exciting things to see, including a full stream of our eponymous new album due to be released on Ghostwritten Recordings this Halloween.
